To get scammed on Alibaba just respond to one of the comments under this post that sound like "I can help you find good product sir DM me"

That I'm sure of xD

Hi,

Try these options:

a. Hire a reliable sourcing agent

b. Engage a third-party inspection services provider

Cheers

How could I engage a third party inspection, I don't trust them to collaborate with the supplier and scam me both 😂😂

More details please...

If you want absolute peace of mind when hiring an inspector, do these three things:

a. Never let the supplier pick or recommend the inspector. (An obvious one, but it happens).

b, Book through an established agency with strict legal accountability. If they have a transparent digital platform and strict codes of conduct, they take integrity seriously.

c. Be specific with your checklist. Don't just say 'check the quality.' Give the inspector a highly specific checklist (e.g., 'Perform a 4-foot drop test on 5 random cartons,' 'Measure thickness with a digital caliper'). When the inspector has to upload proof of these exact actions, it leaves zero room for them to fake the results.

How is shortlisting reliable sourcing agent any simpler than shortlisting reliable factory on AB?

Honestly, the golden rule is to keep every single message and payment strictly inside Alibaba so you're covered by Trade Assurance. Only source from Verified Suppliers who have been audited by third parties, and always walk away if they try to get you to pay via WeChat, WhatsApp, or direct wire transfer. Also, make sure to get a clear DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) quote upfront so you don't get hit with massive, unexpected customs fees or held-hostage cargo when it arrives.
