5 day chart - Nio

Investor summaryNeutral

NIO's drops seem unnatural, but strong fundamentals like profitability, high delivery growth, and rising ASPs shine before earnings.

Bull points
  • Anticipating its first profitable quarter with strong margins and positive EPS/revenue beats.
  • Q1 deliveries surged 98% YoY, with revenue growth potentially exceeding 100% driven by higher ES8 ASP.
  • Strong earnings guidance could catalyze a significant 15% price rebound.
Bear points
  • Recent price action exhibits unnatural stair-step sell-offs at the open, suggesting a lack of organic buying support.
  • High downside risk of dropping below $5 if the upcoming earnings report disappoints investors.
  • Weak price momentum: even a 15% post-earnings surge would merely recover recent losses rather than break new highs.

Post body

The last five days of Nio does not look like organic buying and selling with the clear right on open sell off causing the stair stepping.

The annoying this is if Nio surprise on earnings with strong guidance and good margins and beat on eps and revenue a 15% rise will take us just back to where we were.

Disalointment could risk falling below $5. That's after the first profitable quater and 77% growth year on year for 2025. The 98% growth for Q1 year on year in deliveries. Proberbly well over 100% revenue growth due to the ES8 asp

Should never have bought NIO or any China stocks. They just get brutalised even if the business performs

Things don't last forever. Eventually the risk to reward will be too great compared to more trusted markets. Patience is the key and with Nio at likey a price to sales of less than 1 I'm willing to wait.

Good luck. Maybe in 2030

That's actualy very soon for long term holders

BYD is smart not to list their shares outside China. Their shares will be manipulated and will never truly reflect it's value. Just like Nio

I am down way more than that.  My avg is a little over 10 bucks and I have just north of 30k shares. I would not be surprised to see the stock fall a good bit lower, but I have no doubt Nio will have its day.  When they report Q4 2026 earnings in March of 2027, it will be hard to hold it back at that point. It is possible that we could see it run up this year after some unforeseen catalyst like a chip deal or major partnership.  But Nio is coiling like a spring and then these institutional shorts will likely go long and make lots more money as they allow it to run up

I pray for all of us brother

Yeah you have to hold at that man. If I was down 35k I'd be holding for sure. I don't care if it takes 5 years to get back

u/joedylan94 2· 24d ago

Who down voted this?? Yeah man just wait it out - it was way over valued back then but now I think this stock has the minerals to do a 10X by 2030 - EPS along should drive most of that over the next year

u/Maximum-Subject-3283 3· 24d ago

Yeah it's crazy. I'm down $5000 on this stock alone. For such a huge company it just shouldn't be going down like this and it doesn't make any sense at all for investors. If tomorrow doesn't get a boost I would probably bail out. Let's see what happens.

Bro. I’m down 35k. I bought a shit ton at a high price during the nice run up many years ago

u/mmalcolm86 1· 24d ago

DCA down from $42 down to $7.50 and im still down 16k. Theres not a day that goes by that I dont think about selling and just taking the L on this one.

u/Modulus3360 1· 24d ago

Manipulation and beware of those who try to convince u , the current share price is a fair reflection of Nio business. Becos they are part of the manipulation.

u/Slight_Signature5097 2· 24d ago

Yeah. I had an average of 45$. I brought it down to 27$. But that took a lot of more money. I hate throwing money into it.

u/Ordinary_Front_1972 2· 24d ago

I’m not going anywhere until 2035, unless it takes off before that, in which case I may sell some shares
