Alibaba support ignored me for 20 days just to protect a digital scammer with a copy-pasted template. Disgusting.

Investor summaryBearish

User complains about Alibaba's poor customer support for a digital scam dispute, warning against buying digital services on the platform.

Bear points
  • Poor customer support and dispute resolution process for digital goods.
  • Platform policies blindly protect scammers, damaging user trust and brand reputation.
Post body

I am absolutely done with Alibaba and their "Senior Customer Service Team." Here is how they help scammers rob international buyers:

The Scam: On January 18, 2026, I paid for a 1-year subscription service. On April 11, 2026, the seller completely shut down the service and vanished. Pure digital theft.

The "Support": I opened a dispute immediately. Alibaba ignored my case for over 20 days.

The Audacity: After weeks of silence, I finally sent them a final notice. This is the "genius" response I got from Carina (Senior Team). As you can see in the image, they have the audacity to copy-paste a 30-day inspection rule for physical goods and apply it to a 1-year digital contract!

They literally told me to "engage in a friendly phone call with the seller" who just stole my money, claiming they can't help because 30 days have passed since the purchase. How am I supposed to inspect a 1-year service within 30 days if the scammer cuts it off after 3 months?!

They completely ignored my 48-hour ultimatum, so I have officially filed a chargeback dispute with my bank today.

Never buy any digital services or subscriptions on Alibaba. If the seller scams you after 30 days, their support will blindly protect the scammer and leave you out to dry. See you in the chargeback hell, Alibaba.
