This is almost certainly a scam. Legitimate sellers on Alibaba don't ask you to pay outside the platform. Alibaba's payment system exists specifically to protect buyers, and bypassing it removes all of those protections.

If someone is asking you to use services like Remitly, Western Union, Cash App, or anything similar to pay for goods from a stranger online, that's a major red flag. These transfers are usually very hard to reverse once sent, which is exactly why scammers like to use them.

We'd highly advise against going outside of Alibaba's payment system. If a deal seems too good to be true, it usually is.

That payment pressure and switching details would make me pause too. On Alibaba, I only continue when supplier info, trade assurance, and company records line up exactly with previous communication.

Don't both alibaba and paying outside is a scam not recomended on using alibaba

Alibaba Trade Assurance is actually designed to protect buyers .but sellers usually need to pay deposits and accept platform rules to trade there.Once you move payment outside the platform, you basically lose all protection from Alibaba, and there is no way to recover funds if something goes wrong. therefore, unless it is fully processed under Alibaba Trade Assurance, I would strongly recommend staying on platform for safety.
