Good! Europe puts tariffs, NIO need to focus on markets where margins are high

Great, come to Australia then already. We have no tariffs and Firefly was ADR approved over a year ago.

When you do, bring the refreshed model. Don’t delete the front camera and enable 360 mode. Make Apple CarPlay have stereo not mono connection. Bring dashcam, sentry.

Got it? Thanks.

Other brands are totally able to do it though.. Zeekr, BYD for example.

Agree, Germany, Nederland and Danemark are hopelessly difficult to penetrate!

Germany is to nationalistic when picking a car, Dutch are too cheap and Danes are very European minded.

If I were NIO I would concentrate on Asia, Australia and a few countries in Europe less China hostile.

Lot of Finnish influencer have BYDs and are marketing them actively

Why would a Nio ES8 for 80-90k€ or a Nio ES9 for 100-120k€ be overpriced in Europe where you can buy technically worse Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Range Rover, Volvo SUVs for way more than that?

Nio is just very bad at marketing and ads. No one here - except for the enthusiasts - know the brand and their tech.

Nobody is going to buy in Europe in 2026 a car launched in 2022 when there are the updated models already sold in China!! It is basic! NIO needs to deliver the most recent models to European countries.

This is most delusional I have ever seen this sub.

As an european: thats not good

As an investor: thats good

Compare PHEV tariffs against BEV tariffs, then see who is selling what and who has what tariff. The EU tariffs skewed the market in favour of manufacturers that build hybrids.

Nio cars are insanely underpriced compared to everything else in Europe even if you don’t use the swap station even once. EL8 has way better built quality and every other specs than BMW IX for example.

lol did you downvote my response? sad.

The European market is becoming increasingly insignificant for Chinese car manufacturers. Europe represents only around 10% of the Chinese EV market in terms of sales volume.

On top of that, Europe is fragmented into dozens of countries, languages, and regulatory systems, combined with hostile tariffs and the overall decline of the region after the US — using Ukraine as leverage — cut Europe off from cheap energy and then raised prices by 200–300% after taking over the market.

A very smart move from NIO side. And I don’t think NIO is any exception here — Chinese manufacturers in general (not only EV makers) increasingly see Europe as a less attractive market simply because Europe itself is becoming less attractive.

I think it’s just people using alt accounts that have been here before. It’s the same crap, just repackaged.
