My honest take on Baba

Investor summaryBullish

Author is highly bullish on BABA, targeting $400, citing AI investments, cash reserves, and chip competition with NVIDIA.

Bull points
  • Heavily investing in AI and competing with NVIDIA in the advanced chip race.
  • Sitting on an incredible cash reserve.
  • Fair value estimated at $400, offering massive upside from the $135 entry.

Post body

They’re literally taking on NVIDIA in the advanced chip race, heavily investing in AI, and sitting on an incredible cash reserve. My fair value take on Alibaba Group is at least $400.

Started with 500 shares at $135 as a starter position. As volume continues coming in, I’ll keep adding more Baba.

This my journey, not an advice for you nor encourage you to buy or sell. I believe in Baba, and I am sticking with my thesis.

If you love it at $135, you’ll marry it at $80. Welcome, brethren.

About 5-6 years ago we were hearing that Baba will take 300$ not earlier than ten years and we were laughing. I recognize myself in you. Not just me but every Baba bagholder who started the journey from the beginning. I wish you will be right but it doesn't seem to change something soon

Why will you hold something if you don’t believe it will do well?

They are not taking on Nvidia. Designing ASIC is not that hard and many companies can do it. However I do agree Alibaba has a lot of potential because they have good models + cloud + their own chips. Amazon has cloud and good chips but not good models. I have 3000 shares with average cost of $124
