Dont understand it at all

Probably because XPeng's physical AI projects and autonomous driving are leading the field. Those projects attract more investor dollars than car businesses. Their flying car division is in full production and has thousands of orders. NIO by comparison had a failed phone project.

Also, XPeng exports are doing far better than NIO. Those are the high margin sales.

And people claim Chinese stocks are bad and yet the manipulators is pushing Xpeng share price up despite the terrible earning... Maybe they think Xpeng is American company. There is nothing about Chinese but just some troll keep attacking Nio shares.

Without selling cars Xpeng still makes money through software and chip licensing to VW

I love how Nio falls after good news, it just goes to prove that the market is never logical despite people thinking it is

Shocker

I told ya. Every time nio has a good day it goes back down 2-4% the next day. Then slowly more over the next few days

I prefer NIO's design and brand image.

Even if Nio does well, it has to go way past 30$ per share, to bring most investors average to net 0 loss. All this company did, in last 6 years, is grow and expand. All that stockholders did is lose alot of money

Think maybe it’s mainland China vs Hong Kong? Government tend to favor mainland more.

Xpeng share price is going up because it has fallen quite a lot. Nio actually rose a bit from its 35HKD low but Xpeng didn't.

Xpeng valuation pre yesterday earnings is 125 HKD so it's share price is 50% below.

Nio valuation is 59 hkd which is around 30% undervalued.

Oh I expected it

My guess is that both companies will be part of the few chinese EV manufacturers which will survive. At this point I'd say it is impossible to know which of the 2 companies will be bigger and generate more revenue. Xpeng is also deep into humanoid robots which in the next 5 years could become a huge revenue generator as well.

And Xpeng is doing much better internationally than Nio
