It's so fucking depressing seeing everything pump while this shit sells off every night.

u/EngulfedInThoughts 6· 15d ago

Ughh...look at PDD. Baba and pdd make up a good chunk of my port. Oof.

u/Prestigious_Way_738 4· 15d ago

Stay strong bro you'll get through this

u/Primary_Olive_5444 9· 16d ago

Because there is no way Zhang Yimin (Bytedance) and Pony Ma (Tencent) will let go of the "meat" without a big battle.

Till the day/moment when the cash reserves on the balance sheet reaches less than $10 billion.

If anyone thinks the food delivery (Meituan and JD) was bad.. this AI/Cloud battle brings it to another level.

It just started.

ByteDance hikes its AI spending to $70 billion in 2026

You seem to forget the obvious. Baba is well and far away the leader. Is growing. And is investing 50 billion +

70 billion doesn’t even get bytedance baba clouds currrent infrastructure let alone clients, stickyness nor what baba is adding on

u/Primary_Olive_5444 3· 15d ago

I never forget.

the main statement was:

Till the day/moment when the cash reserves on the balance sheet reaches less than $10 billion.

Leadership doesn't mean no cash burn.

u/Fwellimort 9· 16d ago

It's going below $100.

u/Large_Slip6414 7· 15d ago

Guys, diversify, don’t put all eggs on one basket. Baba is only 2.5% of my portfolio.

u/purpleinme 7· 16d ago

This is fucking stupid at this point. Every fucking day it’s down.

u/Weikoko 7· 16d ago

And US stonks up almost everyday lol

u/purpleinme 3· 16d ago

The only reason it’s not $60 is because the US a little up. Look at the charts it elevator down in HK stairs up in the US.

u/Fwellimort 2· 15d ago

Well it's our fault for not investing in US. And guess what? You still won't port over to US. Truth is China sucks to invest in. That hasn't changed for as long as Chinese stock market existed.

u/Awkward-Way1023 3· 15d ago

During that time sp500 hits the ceiling

u/Primary_Olive_5444 3· 15d ago

yes exactly.

You can be in whatever leadership position u want (based on the metrics you used to evaluate/determine that 1st position) but that doesn't mean your competitors are going to walk away. And unless they walkaway, otherwise your 1st position means nothing other than a piece of datapoint for statistical purpose.

And those two guys (zhang yiming and pony) wouldn't walk away that easily.

lol. Damn. Should’ve switched to US tech. Earlier. Much earlier. Better yet, should not have dabbled in China 🇨🇳 tech.
