Americans are in no position to make fun of any countries public transit system, that's actually just embarrassing

This is what a planned economy looks like, instead of a haphazard one

This pisses me off. My ex commie neolib gov. Has like 5 years to barely get moving on a new metro line all while the new residential area suffers for years with bad transport, but “China bad” bc they build “ghost subways” fuck off!

Advanced public mass transit systems built in advance before the homes, schools, malls, hospitals? This cant be...

HOW CAN THE CHINESE BE THIS GOOD TO THEIR CITIZENS! WE MUST TURN THIS INTO NEGATIVE PROPAGANDA! QUICK! ITS MAKING US LOOK BAD! -Amerifats

Wild that building an entire underground network of tunnels before building things on top of it is actually a good idea huh?

u/maidestone 10· 12d ago

Much more expensive to build it three years later. It pays to plan ahead. Building for the future does not always work out but then every business investment is a gamble.

In my Swedish town it took over 45 years to re-instate a passenger train service. The tracks were already there, but were originally for freight.

And now over a decade later it's still constantly running into various issues with delays, congestion (because there are only 2 tracks but many more trains), "signal errors", sudden track maintenance, etc.

On top of that our only train platform is covered in pigeon shit, gum, and garbage from poorly maintained bins.

My Gosh Please..Please I want a Train Station in the Middle of Nowhere. Especially to those Rural Village who wants to work in Cities. Earn Money, go back to that Village and Have Growth.

Instead of waiting for the collapse of mass transit. Makes sense.

If there is one thing the west hates is planning cities. They prefer the slums they build and call them cities.

u/Diligent-Cry-6596 1· 10d ago

Damn, an entire city in 3 years.

u/General_Ad6246 1· 6d ago

Ikr. Everyone's talking about the subway station but not the city. Goddamn.
