Alibaba is a marketplace and supplier directory, so just because someone has a positive/negative experience does not mean you will either.

In general it is meant for B2B transaction, not personal B2C transactions, there is a lot that can go wrong with the importing process if you don't understand how it works. You probably want to contact a local freight forwarders who deal with China who can walk you through the delivery process.

Also using an inspection company like HQTS to check for quality issues before shipping/during production is critical. It’s usually just a few hundred dollars and can save you big money.

We also do inspections but it ultimately depends on the scope of what is required and the type of products. For example, if it is something super specific requiring very expensive equipment to test then in some cases we may work with another company.

Not everyone can do every kind of inspection.

I bought a 14 foot hot tub. Still

Have it. 2 professional massage chairs. Still

Have them.

Shipping has doubled but the items are still cheaper.

Would you need someone from Hebei, China to inspect the factories on your behalf? I’m currently exploring new business avenues, so profit isn’t my main goal. I also wish to learn about various industries.

Purchased a 6k dollar glassblowing lathe. I got the seller to use escrow.com to make sure it was legit and it worked great.
