Delivery table updated with correct YTD numbers
NIO's YTD deliveries show strong growth driven by high-end models like ONVO L80 and ES9, surpassing competitors.
- NIO sales are growing despite a general decline in overall Chinese EV sales.
- Deliveries are driven by highest-priced models (ES8, ONVO L80, ES9) with strong demand.
- ONVO deliveries increased over 100% and ES9 already has a 21-week backlog.

Another amazing progress … pay attention to the significance of these numbers
\- NIO is increasing sales when overall Chinese EV sales this year are going down generally (more on why this is happening in a separate post later)
\- NIO deliveries driven by the HIGHEST PRICE MODELS ( ES8, ONVO L80 and soon to be included ES9 ). And this is happening while Chinese “peasants” (as genius JD Vance said) are going through an economic downturn according to western media . Hahaha!!!
\- ONVO deliveries increased over 100 % !!! L80 launched on 15 May and selling extremely well
\- ES9 just started deliveries in 28 May; maybe only 2 days included as the registrations might be closed on the weekend. There is already 21 weeks of backlog . Guys this is not your BYD shitbox , this is a $75 K ultra luxury executive SUV ….. wake up people !!!!!
\- NIO has left Xpeng and Li AITO in the dust . Zeeker is seemingly the only competitor in NIO’s catagory but I believe their days are numbered as well. By the way we have surpassed AITO, the previous leader in luxury SUV’s. We are closing up even with the HUAWEI alliance of 5 EV makers !!
\- Xiaomi has stated their sales are “30,000” without being specific . They don’t really compete with NIO as their customer base is limited to a certain demographics and the sales are clearly stagnant

Zeeker has a lot of those numbers in PHEVs. Curious to see how many pure EVs they sold.
What’s zeeker? Why ignore that and only talk about Li and Xpeng?
Zeeker has, as far as I know , has 2 models (8x and 9x) as hybrid . I could not find the breakdown of the pure EV numbers . It’s not totally comparable to NIO in fact . By the way, overall in China makeover pure EV’s share of market is increasing. That doesn’t look good for Zeeker
Zeekr belongs to Geely (like Volvo and polestar) they do pretty well. See them a lot in The Netherlands.
I don't think you have to worry about them. They build good cars but the real danger for Nio was (is) Xiaomi and Xpeng in China and BMW, Mercedes and Audi overseas.
