  1. The Police in China, won't record anything, unless you have. translator or a Chinese friend with you. Even if they record a file on your behalf, it might get lost. They usually tell you is a commercial case and you should go to Court, which is right, unless you go to Police with a fraud case, more people defrauded by the same company. best: WeChat Channels, Dousing, TikTok, Facebook etc. and @scammer. Put their name out there so other buyers know it. 2. Hire a lawyer, pay the Court, wait for results. Prevention is more powerful.

I will be frank - you cant do much.

Its not like you did business with a company in another EU state or a state in the US where the same authority/jurisdiction will be able to handle it under the same laws. Chinese companies are very difficult to look through, they often source their goods from others, or another sister company, and the local authorities dont mind it until they are loyal. The payments are more often than not are made to Hong Kong bank accounts where the Mainland Chinese company cannot be brought to justice. I face these issues every day because I provide sourcing services from China mostly to Europe. I have a locally registered company, that acts in every deal as my local legal representative, and instead of international law I always rely on local Mainland Chinese jurisdiction. Also have QC and logistics staff in situ, and even like this its very tricky, and difficult to ensure everything.

I genuinely hope you didnt lose much on that deal. If you need, in the future I can give you some advice on particulars, but never again do a blind large order - even with a contract - from China. Great place for business, but tricky af.

Have you ever signed a contract with the supplier? If yes you can report the police, if you ordered it from Alibaba also report to Alibaba.

Your guide reminded me of some unpleasant experiences I had with Chinese suppliers.

So true. Sourced hoodies from a cheap 1688 vendor. Pics looked amazing. But when customers got them, the stitching was falling apart and US Medium looked like an Extra Small. My refund rate hit 15% and PayPal locked my cash. Cheap factories always cut corners on materials. Never again without local QC.

I saw on the website that there were suppliers offering lower prices, but they were reluctant to switch because they were worried about quality issues.
