Bye 😢
After 8.5 years and a 58% loss, the author sells NIO stock due to alleged manipulation and lack of faith in its price action.
- Down 58% over 8.5 years with no expectation of a near-term recovery.
- Author cites excessive market manipulation and zero faith in the stock.
After 8.5 years I’m finally out. Down 58%, can’t see the stock climbing up that high any time soon. Still believe in the company, I would even buy a NIO if they sold them in Canada. Unfortunately, I have zero faith in this stock, there is just too much manipulation. Over the 8.5 years, the hope of all the investors have not changed which has helped with my motivation, but unfortunately neither has the stock. I know I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but I honestly oddly feel a lot of relief that I’m finally out and I can stop getting hopeful for nothing. Hoping I’ll make partial of money back through the space book and the rest in ETFs long term… 👋
Lmao are you serious? The moment they start to generate revenue?
Yup, very serious. Great news for NIO but hasn’t moved the stock a single point, which is concerning. Way easier stocks to make money in lol last time I touch a Chinese stock.
Allright then, i wish you the best tho.
Good you sold. Now stock will start going up 😊
Selling after 8.5 years holding a stock that’s finally generating a profit and taking market share in home market. To buy an overvalued ipo, which is going to be even more manipulated. Is peak autism…
He seems to find a way to generate better profit. Let him be. I trust his decision.
He sold, pump it!
Do not sell it all, keep it on a level where you don't need to look at it everyday
Did you not want to do covered calls?
And yet you're still here in the subreddit hahaha
Cool, you sold on a market wide red day. Yeah, Nio stock sucks, but everything is crashing today, and you could probably have sold around 6 again very shortly.
Leaving when they are finally becoming profitable, just to buy hyped up pver priced space stocks that will see their own drop after the first few days of trading when OG investors cash out, makes sense.
They are finally firing on all cylinders. You’ve held for 8 years. Why not wait a little while longer. Like they’re finally profitable. They’re gaining market share. It seems like it’s ready to bounce. Feels like more influencers are getting on board with the stock. Deliveries are on the rise, brand recognition seems to be on the rise, their costs are going down. I wish you found this stock recently…
I hear you, they definitely are! I still believe the company has potential long term, but I’ve also learned that fundamentals improving doesn’t always translate into the stock going up, especially over the timeframes I was holding for. That’s why I decided to step away. I personally think there are other ways to make my money grow faster.
Because everything else is crashing too.
