I built a free stock fundamental analysis app, no paywalls, no subscriptions, 25+ years of data
Developer launches StockNest, a free fundamental analysis tool with 25+ years of SEC data, DCF models, and screening capabilities.
- Democratizes access to institutional-grade financial data by removing paywalls for retail investors.
- Provides robust analytical tools like DCF modeling and multi-ticker comparison to support value investing strategies.
- Ensures data integrity through direct SEC EDGAR filings and reconciliation processes.
- Lacks specific company catalysts or market timing insights, limiting immediate trading utility.
- Relies on historical data which may not fully capture forward-looking risks or qualitative management factors.
- As a new platform, it may lack the community validation and long-term reliability of established competitors.
Tired of paying $30–$50/month just to see a company's ratios or balance sheet from 10 years ago, so I built StockNest. Completely free, no account required with 120+ metrics
Data comes straight from SEC EDGAR filings with reconciliation passes to keep the numbers accurate and consistent.
What it includes:
Compare : chart any combination of metrics across up to 5 tickers simultaneously. 120+ metrics across income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, valuations, and margins. TTM, quarterly, and annual. 2Y / 5Y / 10Y / All-time ranges. Share any comparison through a URL.
Financials : full income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement side by side. Annual and quarterly views.
Scorecard : 1–5 scoring across Profitability, Management, Growth, and Financial Health. Each score is based on real thresholds like net margin, ROIC, and debt/EBITDA. Interactive sparklines for every metric, expand charts, and trend arrows showing improvement or deterioration over the last year. Tracks the last 12 quarters.
Growth : YoY table with 3Y / 5Y / 10Y CAGRs for revenue, earnings, EPS, FCF, and OCF. Quarterly sparkline charts included.
DCF : pre-filled from historical data. EPS, FCF/share, or OCF/share. Tune growth rate, decay, terminal multiple, and discount rate. 5Y or 10Y horizon.
Screener : filter by 20+ valuation, profitability, return, and health metrics. Sortable results, click any ticker to jump straight into a comparison.
US-listed companies only for now. Would love to hear what you think.
Useful tool. Thanks for building it and making it paywall free.
A minor enhancement suggestion. For the ratios, add a tip whether the higher numbers or lower numbers are better. For example, the lower is better for P/S and P/B.
Can do 👍
this
Thank you. I will try it.
nice work building this yourself, the compare feature looks really useful for checking different companies side by side. will definitely give the screener a try since i hate paying for basic financial data that should be available anyway
Since I'm not paying you dollars I will pay you with accolades... I love it ...
It's like macrotrends but way cleaner and faster and doesnt lock after a few searches. I definitely bookmarked and will be on it all the time.
The only "issue" and this feels like looking a gift horse in the mouth because if you didn't have this I'd still love it, is the dcf section. I ran charter, and actually you're default solution was close to my estimate. But see charter is difficult to model because it's very sensitive to wacc. Anyways when I changed your wacc nothing changed so that's buggy.
But again if all you did was historicals this fast, easy, clean, two thumbs up!!
