Cramer said that the stock market was resilient on Thursday...and then Friday happened

Investor summaryBearish

Mocking Jim Cramer's bullish resilience claim after Friday's market drop, implying his views are a contrarian bear signal.

Bear points
  • Market performance contradicted the 'resilient' narrative immediately.
  • Reliance on Cramer as a contrarian indicator suggests negative sentiment.

It's not that. It's that stocks fell, bonds fell, crypto took a beating, forex, commodities, treasuries, everything tanked.

It’s called a sell off. Algo trading accelerates the process and it ends up overdone. The world we live in fear is spread across the board in real time.

algo trading accelerates things but also all the big boys are extra leveraged and unroll their leveraged positions when there are drops

Maybe stop looking at the day-to-day blips, and focus on fundamentals.

The selling would be more intense if the market was focused on fundamentals.

When a stale dinosaur like Dell increases 200% YTD like some innovative hyped growth stock, it may not bode well.

I didn't think it would affect the entire market

His power has become too great.

He usually opens his show saying "I just want you to make some money" On Friday he says sadly "I just want you to save some money" 😂. Closest thing I've seen to acknowledgement.

Cramer doing Cramer things. He's a great contrary indicator. He's Wall Street's answer to Skip Bayless.
