Eli Lilly is ready to soar with their latest results get ready for Triple Action GLP's

Investor summaryBullish

Bullish on LLY due to promising Phase 3 results for Retatrutide, claiming superiority over Novo's pipeline and expanded indications.

Bull points
  • Retatrutide Phase 3 trial data shows substantial improvements, reinforcing LLY's clinical leadership.
  • Competitor Novo Nordisk's Zenaglutide appears less promising compared to LLY's triple agonist pipeline.
  • Expansion into comorbidities like sleep apnea and joint pain broadens the total addressable market.
Bear points
  • The post relies heavily on hype ('rocket fuel', 'ignite') rather than detailed financial valuation or risk analysis.
  • Market expectations may already be priced in given the anticipation mentioned ('bought a ton of their stock').

Post body

Retatrutide has shown amazing promises early on then with the grey market its been showing amazing results and now that they are coming out with trial 3 results and it looks even more promising they are ready to ignite that rocket fuel. They hit it out of the park with Tirzepatide, Novo has no real good answer their latest clinical results for their pipeline Zenagamtide hasn't shown much promise to get past Tirzepatide and far beind Reatrutide.

Get ready for Eli to own the market outright with this drug. They are not only testing it for just obesity, but sleep apnea (from obesity), joint pain specfically knee pain, and are even going further with potential diabetes applications.

Investing in pharma without insider information is a recipe to be a bag holder imo

LLY isnt some biotech stock. All you had to do was invest in the thesis of a weight loss drug becoming popular if you bought 1-3 years ago.

u/wanseer18 14· 6d ago

Yes to get to this point but why does that mean its gonna multiply again? That's the same trap that lost people on this sub a lot of money on NVO. Imo trial results is way to early to know anything due to all the regulation risks. But I dont know enough about pharma to really know so good luck, it may well be a good move

reta is a wonderdrug. its going to sell like crazy. I've tried it that's my insider info

It certainly seems like news that will further boost LLY and cause NVO to slump further.

I feel bad for NVO. The only name for these drugs that people know is Ozempic, yet the maker of Ozempic just seems to lose value month after month.

You seem to forget they have the dominant market share for oral GLP-1s and the better oral GLP-1 than LLY.

I completely agree about Retatrutide, but there is a whole market of people who don’t want an injection but will take the pill, and NVO is in the better position for that.

I also feel bad for Big Pharma

u/No-Fig-8614 15· 7d ago

Its an outdated drug that is now consumed by compounding pharmacies. NOVO literally runs on selling insulin, Ozempic was something they had for a long time in their back pocket and wouldn't listener to the developer of it that it could do so many things until it was too late are now scrambling to catch up.

Sure, but it still seems like saying Band-aid is going bankrupt because Curads are 10% better.

(I’m very long LLY, I’m not a NOVO bag holder or shill here. I’m just expressing sympathy for a company that has done amazing things and has seen little reward for it.)

Cool - I’m a doctor too and I’d hope you’d be smart enough to know that your N=1 experience of strongly favoring an injectable over the oral pill must apply for all doctors and patients out there.

My sarcastic BS is warranted when you make blanket statements such as “patients will use what is most effective aka The injectable Terzepatide and nothing else.” No, they won’t. There will always be a subset of patients that go “hey, I want to lose some weight, I’d rather have the convenience of the pill and lose 15-20 lbs than lose 40 lbs on an injectable”

If you favor prescribing LLY Terzepatide to your patients, that’s completely valid. It’s the better drug. But gtfo with your “people will only use the more effective drug, regardless of oral vs injectable” BS. That’s an embarrassing take for a physician.

Has more side effects than zepbound and most people would not really need this. Increasing resting HR is one of the major side effects imo.

u/crsbyn 20· 6d ago

What do you weigh now?

u/GWillHunting 11· 6d ago

Eh - correct me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t you just take the pill first thing in the morning so you’re on an empty stomach? Or right before going to bed? I agree that it’s helpful that LLYs pill doesn’t have this, but when looking at the overall sales of both oral pills, seems like NVO has been dominating the market share for having the more effective pill despite the empty stomach thing.

i am a pharmacist. foundayo has been a bust. I've dispensed 1 since its been out. lilly isnt running and discounts for it, so there's no reason to use it over the wegovy tab. wouldnt be surprised to see the stock dump when the foundayo numbers come out.

that being said, i expect retatrutide to be the next game changer. will stay long

u/No-Fig-8614 9· 7d ago

Its a triple agonist which shows additional fat burning, better management of glucose, and by initial clinical results show less rebound when coming off. It seemingly is able to reduce BMI more than others and also has better glycemic results for diabetes patients. It will be another option in the arsenal of GLP based drugs but Eli lilly has this and their oral. Novo also has a new one coming out as well that acts different but based on Reta, Tirz, it looks like Eli is winning this game.
