Post body

US President Donald Trump is planning to meet the bosses of some of the country's most notable artificial intelligence (AI) companies to discuss the government taking a financial stake in their future.

Speaking on Air Force One, Trump said the goal of the US government investing in AI companies was to "create almost a partnership with the American public".

He expects to meet leaders of major AI companies at the White House - likely next week.

Although the president did not name specific companies, the biggest companies in the US working on AI are Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, SpaceX and Anthropic - the latter two of which are expected to go public in the coming weeks.

Picking winners and Losers in the “free market economy” are we Republicans??? Hm?

You don’t understand.

Republicans = Smart business.

Democrats (or any other for that matter) = Corruption.

Reasons? Vibes.

Yeah, this coincides with his Friday tweet, "Stocks should be going up after good jobs numbers like they have for 200 years" (paraphrased). He must've bought calls after the numbers came out, but his bank executives sold off anyway at rate hike fears lol.

Lmaoooooo he’s playing short dated options now because he knows what the data is before it’s released.

It’s not. Just like anything that Trump does it will only serve to enrich him and his family, taxpayers be damned.

He can't let AI implode. The market and economy is only propped up by AI right now

Agree. It's the only thing keeping the stock market hot, and it consolidated a bit on Friday. He needs the market to keep hot to offset inflation and have a prayer for his party to win at the midterms lol.

I mean Micron would be a top candidate for government stake given it's strategic positioning

When the government owns the means of production....what is that called again?

Probably up, the quantum computing companies all pumped on that announcement the government was gonna take a stake in them, and last year in like October during the critical mineral mania a bunch of those mining companies all pumped as well with a similar announcement.

The only companies they invest in are ones they invested in before the govt investment.

Its not good.
