Last week stock market is down 4%+
User seeks advice on market strategy following a 4%+ weekly decline and increased volatility.
anyone have thought on what can do at monday market, the market is down 4+%, quite volatile tbh, need some good advice thanks!
Panic sell everything obviously
And finish it off by buying high. Rinse and repeat, sell low buy high.
How dare you copy my strategy!
Do one of three things...sell, hold or buy.
While panicking
Can we make panic hold a thing?
way ahead of you friend
I think you're question is based on a misunderstanding of the difference between the markets valuation of assets in your account and cash.
Were you planning on selling on Monday to get cash? If not why do you think you need to do anything?
if a 4% down week changes your whole plan, the problem is probably the plan, not monday.
Advice. Be diversified don't buy anything. You don't have conviction in and don't listen to f**** CNBC or any of them m**********
No one knows what the market will do this coming week. I think a couple of things that worked for me in the past:
- if you did not overpay for stocks you have nothing to worry about. (Even if the stocks are expensive now)
- if you bought high and hoped to sell higher, then you should not borrow money to invest and instead be prepared for volatility.
- if you bought high, borrowed money or need the money soon, OR you have trouble sleeping then you should seek to reduce your exposure, and de-risk.
Freak the fuck out and panic sell. ITS OVER MAN
If futures hold it'll be down again on Monday
What futures lol? Those weekend ones have 0 significant liquidity
