Breaking | US adds Alibaba, NIO, BYD and other Chinese tech champions to military company blacklist
US adds Alibaba, NIO, BYD and other Chinese tech champions to military company blacklist.
- US government adds these companies to the military blacklist, posing severe regulatory and geopolitical risks.
- Inclusion on the blacklist could lead to investment restrictions and capital outflows for these stocks.
Ah some recognition that the tech they deliver is hard to compete with. Protecting their own market.
More reason why Li needs to advertise/market/grow awareness of the company in the US market.
With a few million $, he can hire lobbyists, PR firms and others to get the word out about the company and boost its valuation.
lol… other countries should be blacklisting American companies which very clearly support the US military and ICE. ban Google, Microsoft, Palantir, etc.
You know they are beating US when US start to blacklist them
It’s not a black list- it’s an open list that just reinforces what everyone was saying before- that these list of companies have ties to Chinese military- not just because of the product they sell- but rather what their technology get used for and the data they share with their government
Let's not pretend U.S. companies are deeply tied to its military machine. Just weeks ago Palantir's technology was used to slaughter over 140 children in a school.
Chinese consumers here's your power Stop buying U.S. brands in China. Choose Chinese made products and companies. That's not just economics that's conscience.
Problem is with US brands and tech what would China steal
Chinese EV have been blacklisted for years to sell on US market. Does this even matter?
It is a scary time investing in Chinese, ADR. Rather than punishing the investors, I wish the US administration should stop listing all ADR stocks so that investors have clarity about their investment risk. Current policy posture is harmful and defies all the rules of investment. Allowing listing and trading and blacklisting at the same time for geopolitical reason is a bad policy.
