Am I Better Off Waiting a Month After the SpaceX IPO Before Investing?
User asks if they should wait a month after the rumored SpaceX IPO to invest, citing valuation concerns and potential Tesla merger rumors.
From what I'm seeing in investor communities, many people think SpaceX is a bubble and is trading at an excessive valuation. Given that, would it be wiser to wait until after the IPO and see how the stock trades for a month or so before making a decision?
There are also rumors about a potential merger with Tesla. At the same time, some investors believe that even if SpaceX is losing money today, $135 per share could still be a bargain because of its long-term growth potential.
Whether I'm investing a small amount or a significant sum, does it make more sense to stay on the sidelines after the IPO, monitor the price action and market reaction, and then decide whether to buy?
