Offered 25x revenue to sell my mobile apps. Take the cash and move into stocks?

Investor summaryNeutral

Author got a $480k offer for their mobile apps and is debating whether to sell and invest in AI/robotics stocks.

Post body

I built and grew a small portfolio of mobile apps over a few years. It was a long, hard grind (shared more of that story in some of my earlier posts). I just got an offer to sell for around 25x revenue, roughly $480k.

Part of me wants to take the cash and put it to work in the market, mostly AI and robotics names I think have a long runway. Another part knows the apps still have room to grow and that I understand them way better than I'll ever understand a stock.

For those who've sold a business or a chunk of assets to go into equities: would you take it? What did you wish you'd known before pulling the trigger?
