Help with shipping cost

I'm looking to import a small batch (around 5 units) of a product from China to Greece. Each item costs about $40–50, but the shipping quotes I'm getting are over $200 and increase even more when I add more units.

The products are fairly bulky, which I assume is part of the problem.

Has anyone imported small quantities of larger items from China to Greece or the EU? Are there any methods, services, rail/sea options, or other approaches that can reduce shipping costs for a first small order?

It's my first time doing something like this so any help is appreciated.
