Google question
Author questions Google's lack of leadership transparency and asks why MSFT is favored over GOOGL despite a 3-4 P/E premium.
- GOOGL is trading at a significant P/E discount compared to MSFT despite similar core businesses.
- MSFT is overhyped and commands an unjustified valuation premium over GOOGL.
With every company on the market, you can Google (haha) ""name" leadership" and a link to the company website with all their leadership listed will appear. With Google/Alphabet... crickets. You have to go to other sources for a look at their CEO CFO etc. ... A minor aspect of a multi trillion dollar company, but one aspect of a company I always look at.
Also, anyone looking at Google right now as a value play? Everyone is talking about Microsoft, but 3-4 P/E difference between these two tech giants with core similarities in their businesses, but only one is the topic of conversation in this sub outside of those praising it as their #1 choice for a tech long term hold. What makes MSFT such a deep value compared to GOOGL.
