First time running the wheel with $2k, looking for ticker/timeframe advice?

Investor summaryNeutral

Author seeks advice on running the options wheel strategy with $2k, comparing the volatility and premium of SOFI vs. F.

Post body

I’m looking to try the wheel for the first time with about $2k. Mostly debating between F and SOFI since both fit the account size, but SOFI seems a lot more volatile.

For someone starting out, would you recommend 30–45 DTE or as low as 21 DTE, or weeklies? Also curious if Ford is still the better beginner ticker or if SOFI is worth the extra premium/risk.
