How much would it cost to ship 1 full size bike?

Most forwarder quotes say for 16kg and like 150x20x60 cm to LA, California, the price is around 40-60 bucks. An agent told me that logistics does NOT do bikes anymore. I was looking to buy a personal use, single quantity bike, but many people quoted me much higher (like 460, 600, 1000+ dollars).

Is Alibaba (for a 50 dollar bike), not worth it? Or is there another way to ship a full size bike to the US?
