I built a free tool that keeps a daily history of your Finviz screeners

Investor summaryNeutral

I built a free tool to track the daily historical performance of Finviz screeners against SPY.

Post body

If you use Finviz, you know the screener is great for finding stocks - you set some filters, sort by performance and get a list. But that list is just a snapshot of today. Run it next week and it's different, and there's no record of what it looked like before. No memory.

So I built a small free app that fixes that one thing: every day it saves the top results of a screener. That turns a screener into a living strategy/portfolio you can actually track over time - and it charts its performance against SPY, so you can see whether the screener's logic would have beaten the market or not.

That's the whole idea: keep a history of the screener and then get a real perfomance view of that strategy.

The screeners currently in the app are based on this older post: Collection of Finviz screeners

There's also a community widget where you can:

  • Suggest a Finviz screener (just paste the URL) and vote on the ones you'd like added,
  • and send ideas for features you'd want me to build;

It's free, no signup, no ads: https://stocks-screener.noletovictor.com

Happy to hear which screeners or features you'd want added.

One honest note: I built this today (2026-06-23), so there's no historical data yet. The charts start basically empty and fill in day by day. It's a bit frustrating to launch with nothing to show, but I think it's the start of something interesting, and the history only gets more useful from here.
