Wait for mediation team or chargeback? Counterfeit goods

I placed an order for some branded beauty items from a seller on Alibaba which I know is a mistake which I’ve learnt the hard way. I’d sold some of the order I’d received from them and received complaints regarding authenticity; before then I’d placed 3 more orders of the same order and they’re on the way so I couldn’t do much. During that time I got 2 real versions to compare and could tell they’re clear fakes. I then opened a return and refund for all 4 orders once I confirmed and uploaded all the evidence, shortly after I started getting threats from the seller both on Alibaba and on WhatsApp which is against Alibaba T&C to contact outside of Alibaba and they’re threatened to send people to my address and or call the police on me. I’ve got clear pictures with discrepancies, evidence of threats but no argument from the suppliers side that they’re genuine. The mediation had begun and they’ve reopened it to for more evidence but I struggle to see why. Should I just chargeback?
