Is the EMH true?
Author questions the Efficient Market Hypothesis after seeing SPCX, holding a global ETF and reflecting on past meme stock trades.
- The market can be inefficient, but often in ways that do not benefit retail investors.
What advice would you give to a yung trader like myself? I get welfare + 100 dollars a week from my sugar daddy so I'm looking to Make Big Plays.
I am a believer in the EMH but after seeing things like SPCX I'm now not so sure. It seems that the market is inefficient but only in the not-so-useful direction.
I'm currently 100% in a globally diversified market cap weighted asset allocation ETF. Should I even bother with this shit if expected returns are already priced in?
I put every dollar I had into PNG but realized I was a fucking idiot so market sold everything (I made $200). That's basically the extent of my stock trading in the past 10 years.
