Alibaba has actually been better than I expected for sourcing

Bull points
  • Positive user experience with sourcing, noting responsive suppliers and fast shipping.
  • Customer support is effective and resolves issues rather than giving generic replies.
Bear points
  • Search and supplier filtering features are not perfect.
  • Risks remain with extremely cheap listings, requiring caution for large orders.
Post body

I started using it mainly for sourcing small products and comparing suppliers, nothing huge or complicated. Honestly, it has been more useful than I expected. The search and supplier filtering are not perfect, but once I narrowed things down to verified suppliers and checked reviews carefully, it became much easier to find decent options.

What surprised me most was the order process. The suppliers I talked to replied quickly, shipping was faster than I expected, and the items arrived in decent condition. I also had one small issue with an order detail, and customer support actually helped me sort it out instead of just sending generic replies.

I still think you need to be careful, especially with very cheap listings or products that look too good to be true. I would not recommend buying a huge batch right away.

Not perfect, but honestly better than I expected.
