There are many more examples than these but this is my portfolio top 5. Generational wealth or generational stupidity?

“The beauty of stocks is that they do sell at silly prices from time to time…that's how Charlie and I have gotten rich.”

Been trading for almost 3 years now and ngl… I used to blame EVERYTHING except my own habits.

Bad entries? “Market manipulation.”

Blew a trade? “MMs hunting stops again.”

Overtrading? “Need to make losses back fast

discipline to hold cash is the hardest part of value investing and nobody warns you about it

Can you explain your Mercado Libre play? I know Michael Burry has a large position but I haven't got my head around it.

So msft trading below it's average pe of 30 makes it even more bullish?

I feel good about owning BAER. Fighting wildfires and such.

It happens all the time with Value Investing

you're making big buys on cheap stocks, and you need to wait 6 to 30 months for things to mature

So they're always short of cash

unless they're millionaires

or crazy like Warren

I have already loaded on meta and Msft the last dip. Average at 615 and 397. Dont thjnk I’ll throw in more unless meta goes under 500 and Msft 300.

Well, I've got some cash on the sidelines but I'm not optimistic about the hyperscalers for the near future. There are major reasons the market is not too hot on them currently. I don't think stuff like P/E or other earnings metrics is very helpful, because there are issues with their reported earnings. For one, their huge capex is not hitting their income statements yet. Second, there's the whole circular financing issue. Half of Amazon's Q1 earnings were from paper gains in their Anthropic stake. I don't think this is much of an issue for Microsoft or Meta though.

Only works for index

What's the story for Meta? There's not even a theory yet as to how they might monetize it.

I assume you use IG/facebook right?

When u scroll reels, how do you think the next reel is shown to you? What's powering that? And I'm sure you already know how Meta makes money.

Meta has been monetizing that engine for years

That kind of system might be ai in parts, but it has nothing to do with llms

u/VariousPeanuts 1· 1h ago

is the increased capex all for developing llms?

u/VariousPeanuts 1· 5h ago
If I were Zucc, I would literally spend money on optimizing adds, adding more ROI per add, making things faster, better on all products (facebook, whatsup, instagram, etc) and keep printing the cash.

that's literally what they r doing

Same cycle over and over

Not with this admin.

Trump is doing everything to pump markets.

Economy has inflation up, debt sky high but markets are just not making sense.

Also Iran always attacked after markets and peace deal Monday lol
